(A street boy drew this of Janice. She loves it, so do we!)
“In trying to sum up Women’s Journey to Kenya, I think it’s safe to say that none of us will be the same as we were before our trip. What causes this change? For myself, it was having the chance to interact with ex-street boys – drawing, talking, laughing – who are well cared for by 2 advocates who make sure they stay in school. Another woman’s “ah-ha” moment might come from rocking a rescued baby at New Start Center or sharing stories and laughter with village women dying to know about our American way of life (particularly how we get divorced!) Go with an open heart, mind and spirit and you will be rewarded ten-fold.”
