At 65, I took my first trip overseas by myself, not knowing who or what would await me. From the moment I was greeted at the Nairobi airport by Linda, a woman whose calming presence and “you can do this” attitude I had only known by phone, until I waved goodbye to 7 friends who only 16 days earlier had been total strangers, I knew my life was forever changed.
