Donna Aldridge
My time in Kenya with you and the Dadas was one of the most profound experiences of my life. I had searched for such a trip for quite some time because my open and restless (You nailed that description, Linda!) humanitarian heart was on a deep search for understanding, connection, hope, action and–I didn’t know this one until midway through the trip–joy. Women’s Journey to Kenya far surpassed every hope I had for a meaningful, learning, cultural and humanitarian experience.
Your huge heart, amazing work and connections made everything I had ever done in my work on violence against women and women’s rights and what now seems like baby steps to becoming a true humanitarian and a global woman, come alive and burrow permanently into my mind and soul. I’ve slowly begun to piece it together and assimilate it into who I am and what I want to do in the world.
